Some of you might notice that Perry got a hair cut. Truth is, it’s near impossible to find someone with the hair I picture for Per, which can best be described as post-apocalyptic surf-shag? I think he looks pretty good with shorter hair, too.

Roar and Liv Short Story: I’m almost finished with my first draft of the Roar and Liv short story and I’m really, really starting to wish it were a full-length book. There’s something about Roar that’s so fun and interesting to me–not to mention that his love for Perry and Liv is pretty darn disarming. I have absolutely loved being in his point of view and I can’t wait to share this short piece with you. Stay tuned for more details!
Vacay: Finally, I’ll be on vacation for the first part of July, so I might be quiet on the interwebz for a little while. Then again, maybe I won’t be : )

I freaked when I saw this. It is lovely. It is magical. It is FANASTIC. It is MARVELOUS. All of the top amazing words in the english language? This cover is BETTER.
I’m really happy you’re enjoying the short story experience. I think it’ll be a really great way to delve further into the world you’ve created to see it through Roar’s eyes (and ears!). Is it going to be in Liv’s perspective too? Even if it’s only like 200 words, I’ll be super happy.
And yay for vacation! I’m sure Ivan is looking forward to relaxing after all of his strenuous assistant work… Make sure to keep him in check though, cats can get out of line!

i don’t know how many people wrote about it (or not, dunno). but i’m really upset about the whitewashing of your book covers. as i am a person of color myself, i see it as a message to non-caucasian people that it’s neither attractive nor marketable (apparently) to be non-caucasian. just wanted to let you know about it.

I have to say when I first saw the cover for Under the Never Sky I thought it was so beautiful… then I picked it up and read what it was about and thought i have to read this… now that i have read it i think why have i not read this sooner?!! it was absolutly amazing!
Then i see the second cover and i got buterflies in my stomach! I love the colours, they really draw my attention… and lets face it Perrry is HAWT!!!

Don’t hate on me, but I’m not a big fan of realistic depictions of characters on covers. I prefer the image left up to my imagination. Covers like Divergent, Hunger Games and Twilight (pre-movie versions).
I HATE Perry on the cover. I love the book and I love Perry I just think that guy is way too clean and not tough enough to be Perry. What I love most about Perry is that he isn’t that model image.

Just finished Under the never sky in about 3 days and I work full time. Such a captivating book that makes you think, feel, and ultimately fall in love with the characters. I cannot wait to read Through the Ever Night I just wish it wasn’t so far away but never the less, the calendar is marked and this girl will have a copy in her hand release day
That being said, I nearly went insane when I saw that this is a fairly new book, so the sequel hasn’t been released yet! I keep staring at its page on Amazon, hoping the release date will magically be sooner than before. Thank you for writing such a thrilling, wonderful book. My entire family has become interested in it just from hearing the occasional bits and pieces I’ve played while sorting lavender. Personally, I have become so obsessive about this book that I tried checking to see if you’ve written any others, and I was shocked to see that this was your first! I mean, wow! I’m beyond impressed. Not to sound creepy, but I wish I could tour your incredible mind for a bit, see what exciting adventures await us in future books! Now I have motivation to work on that time machine I’ve been wanting to build….hmm….
